Girl and the ghost of the Pond-Castle

She was running; from what she did not know. All she knew is that the fear she felt now was unknown to her, the intensity and the type, completely unknown. she was afraid of glancing back at whatever foe that was chasing her.
She ran from one corner of the room to the other as fast as she could. her heart beating like it has never before. she took a sharp turn at the bend without breaking her pace.
She could see a pond of some kind ahead of her, "why was there a pond in the building?" she thought to herself. The water in the pond was green and she could see the moon's reflection in it. It was as if someone had put it there just to break her pace; she wasn't having it. She ran with the intention of jumping over it. Her pace increased along with her pulse and the speed of her thoughts.

She could see the man-made pond getting closer and anticipated the jump. Her foe closing in; she leaped high and just barely out of her foe's reach. Legs stretched, anxious heart and her mind pushing her to think positive. As if the pond could read her mind, it stretched with time itself, making it impossible for her to complete the jump now. Her legs, followed by her torso, submerged in the green water, full of algae and seaweed.
The pond was deeper than it seemed. She was completely submerged now. She could see everything in the water. It was still, as still as the calm before the storm. She felt angry. She didn't feel like herself anymore, she wasn't herself anymore.
She remembered chasing the foe that had disturbed her peace, she wanted to hunt it down. SHE WAS THE FOE NOW.
He emerged from the water full of rage, it had been centuries that this place was allocated to him for all that was done to him and now this pest dares venture here! He wasn't going to let it go easy. He felt the moon giving him power; absorbing as much as he could, he flew towards the pest that dared. He knew this would be fun. Could almost see it through the edge of his eyes behind the bushes.

He looked but couldn't see the bush on the right side anymore, he was in the bush. "oh no!" she thought. This wasn't going to be fun for her, nor easy to get away with her life. She started running again, she couldn't think. The foe was nearing and she had to make a run for it; but where? This place was centuries old, and she hadn't any idea how to get out of there or how she got there for that matter. Time was running out and she sprinted towards the first path that caught her eyes. "no time to think, just run". Her foe was going to be aware of her position soon and that would be it. She ran feeling keen eyes on her. How would this affect anyone's life, she could not remember if there was anyone whom she mattered to at all. She could not remember anything before she began the run. Keeping the pace up and with her foe nearing, she hoped that her God would save her, did she have a God? did she believe? she knew not. It did not matter now. Her foe was there, and so was her end. She closed her eyes refusing to give up and then felt NOTHING.
