wheel of time show vs book
Wheel of Time-- amazingly famous series of books by Robert Jordan. Recently picked up by amazon as a series featuring Rosamund Pike. Yes, old news. Not trying to add value to information here though. Here, instead, I will be comparing the 1st book and the 1st season and telling you a little what I liked and didn't like from both. First and foremost I have to mention that I love the story of Menethren, both how it was told in the book and how nicely the show has shown it. Despite the difference in presentation of the tale of Menethren, it was beautifully done and I totally loved it. Now that being out of the way, here are the ways of how the two differ in: Story: The book's prologue where Lews Therin fights Ishamael is missing from the show. The show's beginning where Red Ajah sisters hunt down a male channeller—only happens in the show. The cliff-jumping initiation ritual to the Women's Circle, is not included in the book.
